The presence of subcutaneous emphysema may complicate performing lung ultrasonography. Sometimes, it is enough to apply pressure to the probe. In this patient, the maximum amount of emphysema was present above the lateral wall of thorax, at the position of serial rib fractures. Thus, a potential progression of small pneumothorax (revealed by CT) could be observed ventrally:
