You are admitting a female patient who is referred to you as having had syncope and severe aortic regurgitation. The patient recently underwent total hip replacement due to fracture of a femoral head caused by the fall during that syncope.

She is conscious and does not complain of anything. Her circulation is stable, blood pressure 140/60 mmHg (invasive measurement), HR 80 bpm, sinus rhythm, physiological capillary refill time.
